U'll have to call there
Fish, chicken, roast beef, steak, with vegetables, potatoes, cole slaw. It is a fantastic choice for a small town!
Steak and mushrooms
We stop serving our breakfast at 11 AM
Cold food and poor service. The waitress stood In the back visiting instead of seeing if customers needed refills of drinks and obviously let our food sit in the back where it became cold. Our waitress also had a poor attitude but was a young high school girl. Disappointed all around
The food is always great and the staff is friendly. Very good breakfast!
Wonderful breakfast love the pancakes and hot syrup great service
It was good food and nice waitress
They always have a good breakfast at excellent prices and there are people that work there are always so kind and considerate
We got lucky finding this place. We weren't expecting a restaurant to look like a shed. We were headed out of town when we decided to turn around to go back and find a restaurant. Our turn around spot was right in their driveway. From the outside we had no idea how wonderful of a place it is. The food and service are great, as well as the atmosphere. I wish we wouldn't live so far away. We'd make this one of our regulars.
Clean, quiet, food was great. Staff was friendly. Only thing is wear a sweatshirt cause it's to cool
Had pie and coffee, whopper servings of pie a la mode, very reasonable prices. Will definitely return!
"not a half bad place to eat" we had a large group leaving a resort and we called for a reservation and they were very accommodating. Considering the size of our group it was great service and the breakfast was delicious. Plenty of boat and trailer parking available in the parking lot too.
Always just the best food and service, all in just the most comfortable atmosphere
AWESOME AS ALWAYS! It's not a good trip up north unless you eat here at least once!
We loved our experience at West Forty! Huge portions, delicious food, and courteous service. Eggs were cooked exactly to order. The steak was surprisingly delicious. This place worked great for our large group!
The food was very good. We were in on Sunday night around 8 p.m. and the time from our ordering to getting our food was very long time. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant.
We had to wait quite awhile to get waited on but when we did the service was great. Food was excellent and prices were pretty good too!
Good food, friendly staff and good prices.
Always great home cooked meals, with nice friendly service. Service has been a little slower the last two time, but I think that might be do to Covid-19. I will keep going back.
Good food. Great breakfast. Awesome lunch. Killer French fries no joke. Fries are second only to McDonald's fries!
Food was ok.Service was good.NO Michelob golden light on a Sat night, discusting
West Forty is a large open space with rustic decor. It was nice to not feel like your sitting on top of each other and suffering others conversations. Went here for breakfast when they were shorthanded, service was all business and prompt considering. Coffee & water were on the table shortly after being seated, our breakfast came faster than expected and was cooked perfectly to order. Best hash browns we've had in a long time. We'll be back when we're in the area.
A little bit better than average food.
Good food, good service, inexpensive to boot.
For me the food is meh... nothing special. The experience is great though! Tractor themed restaurant that gives you a hometown feel. Bring your parents here but not your girlfriend. Unless of course... she thinks tractors are sexy.
We had a disgusting experience here. The sad part is they only had 4 tables, so there's no excuse for it. My wife and I both ordered the new York strip medium rare. What we got was a sirloin cut and it was severely overcooked. The lettuce in the salad was brown, almost expired. The service was slow. The hash browns were overcooked as well. The bad food literally made me lose my appetite... Presentation wise though they get a 10 / 10. It's a beautiful building with fantastic decorations. Would not recommend this place until they get a better cook and or management.
Good but to pricey for some people
It's fine little stop in town on the way towards Detroit lakes or Fargo. The food is ok, it's more a family diner kinda of setting and not to bad overall. the chicken fried stake was good when I ate there. The burger was also ok. The Reuben was also pretty ok. The whole place is tractor themed along with the menu items which I can honestly say I've not seen anyone else do before. The only thing to be warned about that the building is made of metal and means you wont be getting any cell service in there.
Been here many times, always good food and service.
Very good service and food. Friendly.
Great family-style restaurant. The food excellent
Excellent food , huge portions .1 suggestion a lighter senior menu
Went for late dinner around 7:45pm on Friday. Had the Ferguson steak strips with vegetables, mashed potatoes, and a side salad. It also came with a dinner roll. Plenty of food. It all tasted very good. Service was very fast as well.
Fun atmosphere and large food portions. Excellent home style food with a great price.
Food was very well prepared. Very good service. Nice portions.
Love this place. Great service and quick to get your food if it's not too busy like our latest visit. Love the farm and homey feel. Lots of seating.Certainly not a fancy place but it's not intended to be.Lots of comfort food choices!
Great staff good food
Pleasant barn dining experience with ol'time tractor signs pulling memories of haying behind mpls.molines. It's true, "not half bad tasting food.
I always enjoy being there. I appreciate the fact that the staff were all wearing masks. Mary
Wow. Great service, good food, very reasonable prices for breakfast. Recommend it
Food was excellent. Dine in was a great experience tonight. Thanks West Forty!!!
We usually love stopping here during our annual hunting trip. Unfortunately, our latest trip wasn't as great as usual. The food was very good. The service, not quite. Our waitress seemed to disappear, didn't bring out our dinner rolls, coleslaw, refill the water craft, or ask if anyone needed anything such as another round of drinks. Once she brought out the main entree, we did not see her again. Wait staff seemed stressed and understaffed for the Friday evening crowd. No effort was made to correct the errors, and no discount offered either. We will probably be back, but know to ask for a different waitress in the future.
The food is delicious and the portion sizes are large for a fair price.
Great service, great atmosphere, wasn't busy for a Saturday late lunch. Was good. We ordered the hot beef sandwich with a Grain Belt and a club sandwich platter with a Pepsi. I guess I thought the fries would be home fries but still very good food. This was our first visit here, we would go again if ever in the area
Tara is great! She was dealing with a problem party that couldn’t respect Covid guidelines, and didn’t miss a beat with us. Please take care of her, so she will be there when we get back. We aren’t in town often enough to be regulars.
Nice large parking lot so if you are pulling a trailer you can stop and eat.All the food is first rate with a friendly and helpful staff.
Good homemade food. Great service. A great place to take a family.
The food was very good 9
Good food good help.
Always delicious food and awesome service!
Good food. Fantastic people
Come here each year while vacationing and have had great service and food each time. Even have a t-shirt from here that my dad gave me.. Its like a barn..or supposed to look like one, with old historic farm decor and old tractors etc...big, open space..awesome hometown feel as well...although I don't drink it does have a bar also. Thumbs up from me
The food is good, and the staff is friendly. Most trips to Park Rapids ebd with a meal at the West Forty. Comfort foods and big generous portions.
